The terminal with an area of 50,000 m2 at Cam Ranh airport is expected to receive about 4 million passengers annually.
On June 30, Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company (CRTC) inaugurated an international terminal project at Cam Ranh International Airport.
The terminal is expected to meet the demand of serving 2.5 to 4 million passengers per year. "If the project is completed, ensuring quality and fine art in accordance with the design, when put into operation, it will improve ability and quality of passenger service, contributing to the development of tourism as well as economy of Khanh Hoa", Transport Minister Nguyen Van The said.
Salanganes' nest terminal is expected to welcome 4 million visitors a year
The international terminal project was begun in September 2016 with a highlight of Salanganes' nest design, achieving the first international four-star standard in Vietnam. The project has an investment of nearly VND 4,000 billion.
The terminal is built on an area of over 50,000 m2, adjacent to the old terminal of Cam Ranh Airport. It has two floors including four parking lots for wide-body aircraft; six engine parks, eight pipelines to pick up passengers and 12 engine ladders.
In addition to stairs, elevator system is installed to ensure the transportation of passengers and goods. Outside, there is parking, a check-in area and a path for pedestrians from the old terminal of Cam Ranh Airport today.
