Those are shares of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Chairman of Hung Thinh Incons when talking about the development strategy as well as the core value that the Company aims to on the occasion of the Company officially listed on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) on November 12th, 2018.

Within more than 10 years of development, HTN has affirmed its name in the construction market. Can you tell us what are the most important milestones of HTN in recent years and which are the most outstanding achievements?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: Hung Thinh Incons, formerly known as Hung Thinh Construction Design Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 with an initial capital of VND 5 billion. By May 2017, the company converted into a joint stock company and launched a new brand identity from June 2018. Currently, the charter capital of Hung Thinh Incons is VND 250 billion. On November 12th, 2018, 25 million HTN stocks were officially traded on HOSE; this was an important milestone marking the strong and transparent development of Hung Thinh Incons.

With the prestige developing on the market and the business results continuously growing, we have been honored to receive many prestigious awards: Top 10 Vietnamese Competitive Brands in 2018, Top 10 prestigious brands and products in the Vietnam's construction sector in 2018, Top 10 Vietnamese Sustainable Development Brands in 2017, Top 10 Quality Assurance Enterprises - QAS in 2017, Typical Commercial Service Enterprises in 2016.

In the context when the construction sector is currently facing great competition, which steps has HTN chosen to get impressive growth results in the last 5 years?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: HTN has taken advantage of its inherent strengths from being the main general constructor of Hung Thinh Corp to help ensure stable input, strength from highly qualified, experienced human resources and especially from transparency and effective governance.

 

 

Undertaking more and more large-scale projects which require higher technical, aesthetics and perfection are showing the capacity of HTN significantly increased. The company has also cooperated with Tokyu Group (Japan) on construction quality management consultancy, thereby further develop capacity.

Regarding technology, HTN is applying BIM management software in the design, construction and management of projects. In addition, the Company is widely deploying 2 management systems according to international standards, including ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 System on Occupational Safety and Health to optimize productivity and work efficiency and improve the quality of projects.

Sir, besides the outstanding capacity, what is the core value that HTN’s Leadership goes towards all employees in the system?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: The first core value HTN's Leadership goes towards all employees is that the success of the Company is assessed by the success of the Investor and partners. Besides, we focus on creating products with high quality, safety and aesthetics. And finally take prestige and quality as a measure of brand value.

Could you share more general development strategies of the Company in the future?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: The Company's investment development strategy is set out with the main goal of stable growth of revenue and profit, diversification of revenue sources and reduction of cyclical influence of the construction sector.

We also aim to intensify investment in the form of expanding production and business activities, in which, the strength of construction includes: construction of apartment buildings, hotels, interior decoration and completed construction ... At the same time, expand investment in construction of infrastructure projects in the form of BT, BOT ...

Regarding construction and installment segment, apart from the strength of constructing apartment buildings, hotels, urban areas ..., in the coming time, will the company plan in other segments?


Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: Currently, Hung Thinh Incons is the general constructor of nearly 30 projects in many provinces across the country such as Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, ... The construction projects of HTN are diversified in many different types such as high-rise residential areas (apartments), urban areas, resorts, complexes, 4 - 5-star hotels, etc. The company is currently widely participating in bidding in infrastructure such as BT,...


How does the company plan to expand its investment into real estate business, sir?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: Although real estate is an investment channel bringing huge profit, it also requires capital and management capacity. The strategic goal of the company is still construction. However, when there are appropriate projects, the Board of Directors will consider investment decisions or consult General Meeting of Shareholders to implement.

Despite good business results, the capital size of HTN is still small compared to other big companies in the same sector. So does the company have a strategy to increase capital in the future?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: The capital increase will be based on the long-term development strategy of the Company and approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders. We will consider the best financial options to submit to the General Meeting of Shareholders in the upcoming annual general meeting.

Finally, what do you assess the construction market prospects in 2019 and in the next 5 years?

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung: According to SSI, the leading prestigious consultancy in the securities field, the construction sector will continue to grow strongly in 2019 and in the next 5 years thanks to the fact that (1) macroeconomic foundation continue to move well, (2) housing demand is high in big cities, (3) FDI capital increase strongly in Vietnam and (4) large-scale infrastructure investment projects will continue to be a strong motivation for the sustainable development of the construction sector.

From the perspective of those who are participating in the real estate market, we also agree with this statement of SSI and believe that the real estate market will continue to maintain growth in the future and the qualified construction companies will play an important role in that process.
