On February 11 and 12, 2004, the 4th Binh Dinh People Festival took place at Dong Ho Restaurant (No. 195 - 197 Cao Thang, Ward 12, District 10) in HCMC. This is an annual meaningful event which has been organized since 2014 for people living far from Binh Dinh hometown. And it receives the sponsorship of Hung Thinh Corp with total diamond fund of 500 million VND.
The Binh Dinh People Festival is an event honoring and introducing special cuisine and cultural values of Binh Dinh province. The program reproduced the images of the homeland and the people of Binh Dinh from past to remind people far from hometown about the images of fatherland. This is an annual event organized by the Binh Dinh Association of Fellow Countrymen based in HCMC in collaboration with People's Committee of Binh Dinh province. With the theme of "Proud of Binh Dinh", the festival is a place for friendly meetings and exchange of Binh Dinh fellow countrymen and the tourists. This is also an opportunity appeal to society for contribution and investment in both intellectual and financial resources to promote the Binh Dinh hometown.
This year, the Binh Dinh People Festival was prepared with grand scale and thorough form inluding many special programs: record setting – Spring Wine Opening; Spring Music Gala, Binh Dinh Bolero Gala, "Spring competition"; Campfire Night of Exchange between enterprises and students. At the same time, the festival also intertwined many other impressive cultural activities such as culinary culture, ancient game Bai Choi of Binh Dinh, performance of traditional martial arts, exhibition of photos about the land and people of Binh Dinh; activity of “painting the statue of giant ocean tuna” ... All of them are imbued with the national identities of Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh in particular.
