The Trade Services Award 2016 is to honor businesses and entrepreneurs operating in 11 trade and service sectors which Vietnam has committed to enhancing when joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). It is the 7th time the award held by Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with Cong Thuong Newspaper in the following fields: finance, information, construction, distribution, education & training, environment, healthcare - society, tourism, culture - entertainment, transportation, business and service. The Awarding Committee is composed of economic experts, functional departments of Industry and Trade Ministry and other government departments. The committee ultimately approved and awarded 15 excellent businessmen, 15 excellent enterprises and 83 top ones.
There were over 400 nominations and applications from the top businessmen and entrepreneurs. The Awarding Committee worked hard to pick out the most excellent entrepreneurs and enterprises that fully satisfy the award criteria. The awards ceremony was solemnly held and broadcast live on VTC1 channel on April 22, 2017.
